So, my sweet little man has a cold and he is pretty miserable. I know I'm a horrible mom for taking the photo and then wiping his nose, but I did get to it before it got in his mouth. I love the drool ring on his shirt because he was breathing through his mouth, and drooling like crazy. We had a really bad night Wednesday, he cried for over an hour while I held him and walked the floor, and that combined with his fever made me wonder if he had an ear infection, so we made a trip to the doctor only to be told his ears look fine. He's been a very lucky boy and hasn't had any ear infections in his illustrious life. He slept better last night, we both went to bed about 8:30 and even though he got up a few times I feel more rested. I am going to become addicted to the snuggling I'm getting (there's nothing quite like a slightly warm, sick child snuggled up to you for comfort) and when he feels better and is wanting to be moving all the time again it will be with mixed feelings that I let him go.

On a happy note, my mom came to visit and we had fun on Wednesday wandering around to various places. She, brave woman, is going to teach 2nd grade next year and is trying to gather all the things she needs to make her classroom the best in the school. So, we made a trip to Book City and found some fun books for her kids to read. We also got Xander a walker because he really liked the one Grandma had at her house, and went to visit Hidden Treasures in Shelley. That place truly has "hidden" treasures. It's like a crazy one store swap meet with all kinds of random things. And I managed to get a picture of Xander with Grandma and he is not crying!

Both of mine started w/coughing & runny noses this morning....... can't figure it out? No fevers- but it seems strange... hope you can get some more rest!
Oh man, that is too bad. I hope he feels better soon and you can catch up on your rest. It sounds like you and your mom are having a good time.
