My awesome, handsome hubby had a birthday yesterday. We just put a random number of candles on the cake, they don't all match, but it was chocolate cake so who cares!
Alexander hiding to "surprise" daddy for his birthday. He really, really wanted to hide and yell surprise, so when Francois got home we hid behind the counter and waited for him to come into the kitchen. Consequently, we had cake and ice cream for dinner! The steaks I had thawed will be for tonight.

The cake was just a two layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, nothing fancy. But the ice cream, that was my crowning glory for my hubby this year. Homemade with chunks of oreo, cookie dough, and a swirl of caramel. It is goooooooood! I just might create a new tradition, birthday ice cream in whatever flavor the birthday person wants.
Francois' real birthday present was that he went to Las Vegas for the UFC fight last weekend. He had a fabulous time and might already be planning a trip for next year.........

Shirt for me (last year it was my Bazinga shirt). Yes, we do like to watch Big Bang Theory.
The perfect shirt for Alexander. One that you get to color yourself. Oh, and it came with washable markers so you can color it over and over!
Sebastian got a stuffed lion that looks like the one on Xander's shirt. It's in bed with him right now and I am not going down there to take a picture, so you'll just have to use your imagination!
