Summer Update

We have had a busy summer so far. I am finally getting around to doing an update!
Xander had his first double scoop ice cream cone.

He discovered my trick to keep your book open the lazy way. The only problem was he stole my book to do it!

He has discovered a love of puzzles. Xander can spend an hour just doing puzzles, and he usually tells me, "Mom, I don't need your help." And he doesn't! He did all of these puzzles in one sitting!

He went to the dinosaur park with Grandma Rosie and loved it. He kept asking to see more dinosaurs and we have now been checking out dinosaur books from the library.

He helped Daddy blow out the candles on his birthday cake.

He went to the zoo with Grandma Tucker and saw the baby elephant. But the giraffes were his favorite.

He enjoyed doing sparklers with the neighbors.....

and sitting with all the girls to watch the fireworks.

Oh, how I love summer! We play outside way too much and end up with a dirty house and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, but the years will soon come when we have t-ball games and swimming lessons and busy, busy, busy; so we are enjoying the lazy summer days while we can!
